KEYRING PRO Wallet 4.2.0 Update
Lock NFC Card
NFC Wallet cards often have a common drawback: users can accidentally reset or erase the card if they’re not careful. While this doesn’t affect the NFC functionality of the card, it means the user will lose access to the wallet’s original address. This happens because resetting the card generates a new private key, which results in a new wallet address.
To address this issue based on user feedback, we’ve added the “Lock Card” feature to the KEYRING PRO Wallet. This feature allows users to secure the information on their NFC cards, ensuring wallet safety:
- Locks the private key and wallet address to the card, preventing wallet loss.
- Disables modifications, making it impossible to edit, erase, or reset the card.
- Once a card is locked, the information becomes permanently embedded. This process is irreversible and ensures absolute security.
Users can enable the Lock Card feature either when creating a wallet with an NFC card or at any time afterward. Simply follow these steps to lock your card:
- Open the settings menu in the KEYRING PRO Wallet.
- Select Card Operation.
- Find and choose the Lock Card option.
- Scan your NFC card (ensure the NFC function on your device is enabled).
- Once the process is complete, a confirmation message will appear, indicating your card is now locked.
If a locked card is reset or erased, an error message will appear. This is because the card’s information becomes unmodifiable once locked, ensuring its security.
Sign in With Ethereum
Despite its name, “Sign in With Ethereum” isn’t limited to the Ethereum network—it works seamlessly across various networks. The name simply reflects the feature’s origin, so users can use it confidently on different blockchain networks.
What does this feature do?
When connecting the KEYRING PRO Wallet to a web3 application via WalletConnect, users typically need to sign a message to authorize the connection. However, in most cases, users only see the signing prompt without detailed information about the website they’re connecting to.
The Sign in With Ethereum feature enhances transparency by displaying key details about the signing process, such as the network ID and other relevant data. This adds an extra layer of security, helping users make more informed decisions when signing into web3 applications.

We’ve resolved minor bugs that could affect user experience and refined the UI for a smoother, more enjoyable interaction with the app. These improvements ensure an optimal experience for our users.
